FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Ranking
These are the official FIVB Women’s Volleyball Top 50 World Rankings, reflecting the form and performance of the world’s top national teams. Rankings update dynamically after each FIVB‑sanctioned match—from events like the Olympics, World Championships, Nations League, and Continental tournaments.
A detailed zero‑sum system compares pre‑match probabilities—based on team strength and historical data—to actual match outcomes. Teams earn or lose points depending on whether they outperform expectations, with match importance factored in by weight values (e.g. Olympic Games = 50, Nations League = 40).
In short: win by more than expected = gain; lose by more than expected = drop. However, a winning team never loses points, and a losing team never gains them.
